TurnLeaf Training is an Austin-based company that focuses on helping you reach your fitness goals and achieve overall balance in your life. Our goal is to provide you with a comprehensive plan, including an initial assessment, education and motivation on how to consistently make positive changes with one of many hands-on fitness training program options.
Scott Merritt - President, TurnLeaf Training
Scott is a fitness trainer and wellness coach with a broad background in athletics, fitness, and nutrition. He has coached a variety of clientele ranging from elite amateur athletes needing to maintain optimum fitness and nutrition, to individuals who have never been active and seek guidance and education to live a healthier, more active lifestyle.
“I believe that anything in life can be accomplished with focus and consistency. My struggles are the same as most people I meet, regardless of their fitness level – the human mind is a powerful adversary that often wants to give us an excuse to skip today’s workout, or to start eating healthier RIGHT AFTER this combo meal. Each one of us has different challenges and obstacles when trying to reach our health and fitness goals, so the way we overcome them needs to be tailored to our particular situation. Once we get to the root of the problem, we'll start making small changes, and I'll be there for guidance and accountability. We also need to have a realistic plan that’s manageable long-term. And finally, we need to celebrate our accomplishments!”
Scott is a member of the National Council on Strength and Fitness (NCSF). He is also an avid follower of the "Slight Edge" approach to life.
